Application plan for strip thickness fluctuation and out-of-tolerance position analysis

This solution combines point/line measurements from both sides of the same location with a common reference, outputs a thickness curve or lateral distribution, and identifies invalid results due to synchronization, edges and materials.

Prerequisites for implementationUnified coordinates on both sides, reference spacing, synchronized position, tension posture and independent thickness true value
Current status:Application plan, no customer on-site acceptance record has been formed

Tasks and image input

The height of one side will change with the swing of the material and cannot be directly equal to the thickness; false fluctuations will also occur when the two sides are taken to different positions.

Input data: bilateral synchronization data, common coordinates/baseline, sampling position, rack temperature and standard slab. The first material family needs to be confirmed separately.

Algorithm processing and output

Double-head coordinate unification → effective surface alignment → same point/simultaneous pairing → baseline and temperature drift processing → thickness and out-of-tolerance position.

Output results: thickness, position, invalid point, synchronization status and inter-temporal trend; total thickness, coating and multi-layer thickness are defined separately.

Implementation and verification

Develop a material/range-specific thickness model and exception rules first, then conduct speed and continuous run testing.

Verification method: Use standard thick sheets and independent thickness measuring tools to cover the measuring range, and add tilt, swing, holes, edges and temperature drift conditions.

Applicable boundaries and existing basis

Metal sheet results cannot be directly extrapolated to transparent films, foams or multi-layer materials; the effective thickness should not be continued to be output when key references are missing.

The existing positioning and measurement foundation does not constitute a complete bilateral thickness measurement system, and core calibration and synchronization still need to be completed.

Corresponding algorithm:laser spot displacement and bilateral thickness measurement algorithm development。

Enterprise project promotion and acceptance

  1. scope confirmationClarify the objects, workstations, inputs, outputs, units, interfaces and abnormal conditions that must be covered.
  2. Sample verificationUse representative normal and abnormal samples to establish a baseline and record what works, what fails, and data gaps.
  3. Development joint debuggingComplete the algorithm, calibration, interface and equipment adaptation according to the approved scope, and retain the version, parameters and abnormal status.
  4. Item acceptanceUse independent samples and reference value retests to confirm errors, detection, tempo, stability and deliverables respectively.
