A dual-camera fusion assessment needs original visible-light and thermal-infrared files, their pairing relationships and timing and configuration records explaining those relationships. Similar-looking screenshots can support initial discussion. They do not establish simultaneous capture, complete field coverage or pixel correspondence.
Minimum input inventory
| Material | Information needed |
|---|---|
| Both original streams | Format, resolution, original or display data, and validity |
| Pairing inventory | Both identifiers, pairing basis, time difference and missing frames |
| Time sources | Device or host clocks, time meaning, units and synchronization |
| Device configuration | Models, lenses, firmware, interfaces, cropping and mounting geometry |
| Scene conditions | Distance, motion, occlusion, lighting, thermal state and target regions |
| Calibration and checks | Targets identifiable in both images, parameter versions, check data and unverified items |
Which variations should examples cover?
For the intended task, the requester should provide samples covering stationary and moving targets, different working distances, image-edge regions and representative occlusions. Retain complete original data and capture configurations, then supply convenient previews. If a target cannot be identified in one stream, record that limitation rather than inventing corresponding points.
Additional timing and temperature inputs
Check time meaning against the actual device's timestamp documentation. Do not directly treat host reception time as exposure time. For temperature analysis, the project requester should also supply interpretable measurement data, units, measurement parameters and reference-verification materials. Screenshot colors or text do not replace temperature arrays.
What can proceed with incomplete inputs?
File-readability checks, inspection of areas visible in both images and a proposed processing workflow can proceed while missing timing, calibration and measurement inputs are listed. Without reliable pairs and independent verification, do not confirm synchronized moving-scene capture, image alignment across the full field of view or temperature accuracy. Establish a small, checkable input batch before agreeing on pilot and acceptance scope.
