A visible-light and thermal-infrared dual-camera workflow should retain each original capture and then relate temporal pairs, geometric transforms and displayed results. This is a proposed development workflow. It does not establish that specified devices have been integrated, synchronized or accepted. Define display, correspondence between image regions and temperature tasks separately.

Data flow and module responsibilities

Module Proposed function Records to retain
Separate acquisition Receive images and states through each interface Original files, device configurations, sequence identifiers and time sources
Temporal pairing Associate visible-light and thermal-infrared frames under agreed rules Both identifiers, time differences, missing frames and pairing status
Geometric processing Apply correspondence parameters within verified scope Parameter versions, conditions and transformation records
Result display Separate views, overlays or target-region indications Original sources, display settings and valid scope
Review and handover Inspect evidence, export results and list gaps Operation records, verification examples and outstanding items

Display first, then verify correspondence

Establish that each original image can be read before checking frame pairs and geometry. Preserve independent originals rather than replacing measurement records with processed display images. When using camera-calibration methods, check the model, parameters and actual mounting conditions. Calling a library function is not evidence of completed device integration.

Make missing frames and invalid states visible

Report unpaired, invalid or pending-review status if one stream stops, data become stale, clock relationships are unknown or geometry is outside its applicable scope. Do not present an old image as a current synchronized frame. A refreshing overlay does not establish that both streams remain valid. External actions require separate interface definitions and acceptance. Display functionality does not establish a completed equipment safety-control function.

Check temperature and delivery scope separately

With display images alone, color overlays must not produce unverified temperature conclusions. If temperature arrays are resampled or used for statistics within selected image regions, retain original arrays, units, parameters, validity states and processing records, and check measurement results independently. The delivery agreement should list acquisition software, pairing rules, calibration materials, display settings and verification records separately.
