The existing JIVISION RK3588 smart-glasses project records offline face detection and an Android SDK customer-test delivery. Based on the publication record dated 2026-07-31, this review distinguishes detecting a face from establishing a person's identity. It reports no added identity-recognition capability or new device tests.
What the recorded outputs establish
| Recorded item | Supported interpretation | Unsupported inference |
|---|---|---|
| Face box | A detected region in the input image | A name, identity document or identity-database match |
| Detection confidence | A detector score for the current face region | Identity-match probability or recognition rate |
| Keypoints and pose | The recorded geometric outputs | Completed identity-feature extraction or matching |
| Session identifier | A target-association identifier within the current session | Persistent personal identity across sessions |
Detection does not include an identity-confirmation workflow
The original publication record explicitly excludes claims of identity enrollment, feature extraction, identity-database matching, or name and identity-document recognition. Face boxes, keypoints and pose can support later image processing, but these outputs are not identity conclusions. A displayed identifier remains subject to the original session scope; it is not a verified personal identity.
Offline describes processing location without extending capability
The recorded project used YuNet CPU with Core AAR + Face AAR packages. These are the original delivery settings, not evidence of other acceleration backends or compatibility with other devices. Offline processing does not automatically establish acceptance of identity recognition, performance, sustained operation or data-management requirements.
Define extensions separately
If identity association is later required, define data inputs, available materials and permitted scope, identity databases, matching workflows, failure states and verification conditions separately. This is a requirements checklist, not a claim that the original project implemented those functions. The record remains a customer-test delivery and does not establish production readiness or an untested recognition rate.
