An existing JIVISION multi-camera personnel-positioning project displayed video, camera locations and target positions in one interface. Based on the original case and the project manuscript dated 2026-09-11, this review examines the relationship between image observations and the facility floor plan. It adds no calibration or tests. The original record states that valid facility-wide calibration was incomplete and the displayed map positions were estimates.
Separate displayed positions from measured positions
The project provided ground-calibration functions relating image reference points to surveyed ground points. Floor-plan origin, directions and units should agree, but having a calibration tool does not establish valid calibration across all areas. Visible positions or tracks also do not establish accepted absolute positioning error.
Compare the layers in the original record
| Item | Content supported by the original record | Distinction to preserve |
|---|---|---|
| Facility floor-plan interface | Cameras, video, target positions and sources | Displayed points are not automatically surveyed coordinates |
| Ground-mapping tool | Correspondence between image and surveyed ground points | Tool availability does not establish facility-wide calibration |
| Target processing | Staged personnel observations and single-target fusion display | Fusion results do not replace independent ground-error tests |
| Acceptance status | The manuscript retains items awaiting on-site verification | Unfinished items are not reported as newly passed |
Correspondences needed in later calibration
For each camera, record image dimensions, lens and mounting state, reference points, ground units and calibration version. Use one set of reference points to estimate the coordinate transformation and a different set to check it independently. Assess planar-model suitability where steps or slopes exist. These are recommendations for later verification, not claims that complete point tables, transformation matrices or independent error data have been obtained for this case.
Preserve the historical stage limits
The eight fixed network cameras in the original manuscript were a reference configuration. Staged verification covered video inputs, personnel observations and single-target fusion display. On-site verification of valid facility-wide calibration, absolute positioning error, multi-person cross-camera association and long-duration stability remained incomplete. Estimated positions must not be presented as verified positioning accuracy. No additional on-site verification was conducted for this review.
