Passing local protocol integration tests does not establish product certification or completion of a formal conformance process. Successful registration and account authentication are communication steps. Passing local test cases creates a test record. Neither automatically replaces external test reports, formal manufacturer declarations or registrations required by an applicable scheme.

Identify the documents procurement requires

Determine whether the contract requires specified-product interoperability records, an independent test report, a manufacturer declaration, database registration or another defined document. Record the issuing or declaring party, product model, software and firmware versions, protocol edition and function scope. A statement that a protocol is supported does not replace this information.

Check the actual mechanism

For ONVIF, its official process description defines a self-declaration scheme, and its official product database requires matching the actual product and firmware or software version. Using its specifications alone is not evidence of completing that process. This example does not define certification rules for other protocols.

Determine what each record supports

Document or record Main checks
Local integration record Development version, test counterpart, cases and tests not executed
External-product interoperability record Actual product combination, functions, network conditions and results
Test report or formal declaration Applicable scheme, responsible party, versions, scope and checkable basis
On-site business acceptance Agreed conditions for actual deployment and business workflow

Describe delivery when evidence is incomplete

Use descriptions matching completed work: local integration records, interoperability records for specified combinations, or verification materials still required. If the required documents are missing or the applicable process is unfinished, do not state that the product is certified. Do not replace limited test records with claims of complete protocol verification or compatibility with all devices. Retain gaps and arrange the corresponding tests or document checks.
