This review concerns the EdgeCam A2 development version 0.9.0-dev, using records dated 2026-07-20. It does not combine subsequent version results. The recorded target platform is Huawei Atlas 200I A2 / Ascend 310B4 / openEuler. This article adds no equipment test.
Preview scope supported by the record
| Item | Recorded information | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| HLS retrieval | 8/8 channels passed |
Limited to recorded inputs, outputs and tests |
| Preview output | H.264, 640×360, 10 fps |
Does not establish other resolutions or frame rates |
| Video implementation | FFmpeg/libx264 software transcoding |
Not a hardware video-processing pipeline |
| Implementation state | hardwarePipeline=false |
Separate from NPU model inference |
| Recording record | Single channel, 30 minutes |
Does not establish multi-channel recording acceptance |
Check warm-up states and actual segments separately
During startup, HLS segments became readable before the status field for the number of active video software processes was updated. The acceptance record retains the original samples and restricted startup criteria. Status fields and HLS retrieval checks provide different evidence. This observation does not establish continuous operation throughout a full day.
Separate inference, recording and preview claims
Recorded NPU inference is insufficient evidence that video transcoding uses a hardware pipeline. A single-channel recording record does not establish multi-channel recording capacity under the same configuration. Each function and combination needs its own version, inputs and acceptance evidence.
Keep outstanding scope marked as unfinished
In the recorded development version, the new all-day sustained-operation test, multi-channel recording, HTTPS, monitoring of high and low disk-space thresholds, unattended NPU recovery after power loss and third-party protocol testing remained unfinished. This article reports only the recorded development-version scope. It does not establish performance or compatibility for other configurations, third-party certification, or acceptance of later versions.
