A visible video preview shows that the corresponding preview path produced displayable output. Whether a model processes data as required, recordings are complete, or concurrent operation meets requirements needs separate evidence. Device names, processor specifications and demonstration images do not establish those results.

Define acceptance by function

Function Output checks Conditions to specify
Video preview Decodable images, updates and failure states Input modes, preview configuration and client count
Model inference Valid results associated with their inputs Model, processing frequency, preprocessing and backend
Video recording Files, time indexes and playable content Recording-channel count, encoding, retention and disks
Historical playback Requested segments, seeking and reading Indexes, retention period and access method
Concurrent functions Each function meets its requirements while running together Combined workload, network, resources and duration

Separate individual and combined tests

Keep inputs, versions and target modes unchanged during comparisons. Check functions individually before adding combinations of preview, inference, recording and playback. Keep per-channel counts, errors, waiting and resource records. Aggregate figures cannot replace individual-channel results.

Preview caching is not recording acceptance evidence

RFC 8216's media-segment description explains HLS playlists and media segments. Available playback segments do not establish agreed long-term retention, indexing, recovery or retrieval. Assess recording against actual stored files and playback records.

Record unverified scope at handover

Specify input-channel counts and modes, concurrent functions, retention duration, recovery and third-party integration scope. Keep untested scale or duration marked as pending verification. This article explains acceptance methods and adds no equipment performance or pass conclusion.
